Enryakuji Temple

Temple
This temple is located in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, and refers to the area around Yokokawa Main Hall, Enryaku-ji Temple. Opened by Ennin, a disciple of Saicho, it is well-known as a place where famous monks such as Shinran, Nichiren and Dogen trained. The Sho Kannon Bosatsu is enshrined in the butai-zukuri hall, which seems to float like a ship. There are also shuttle buses service from each of Enryaku-ji Temple's East tower and West Tower.
