Gokoku Shrine
This shrine holds a cenotaph and ossuary, and was built to honor the prefecture's war dead from the Russo-Japanese War and World War II. Built on a small rise overlooking the city of Kofu, this place is also popular as a cherry blossom viewing spot in spring due to the roughly 200 cherry trees planted on the shrine grounds.
