This observation tower in Sakata Port also serves as a lighthouse, a rarity in Japan. The first floor features the Minato monoshirikan Hall, which exhibits panels educating visitors about the port. On the seventh floor, 18 meters up, the observation room offers a view of Sakata Port, along with the Sea of Japan, Takasago Wharf, cruise ships, and Japan Naval SDF ships.

駐車場も広く、入場料無料、エレベーターですぐに上がれます。眺めだけ見るなら最高です。一階には展示物もありますが長時間いるのは難しいかと思います。
遠くからも目立つ。

目立っている展望台だったので立ち寄りました。外観も変わっていますが、中も変わっていて興味が惹かれます。
ハッキリ言って、酷い施設になってしまいましたね。

展示室は節電ということで、通常は灯りがついていない。来訪者が訪れて慌てて電気を付けていた。管理者は男性の方一人だけだが、事務所のドアが開けっぱなしなので管理者が席を外すと中丸見えで防犯意識が皆無。閉館時間も日没までだが、曇りの日は管理者の匙加減で閉館時間が決まってしまい、1時間前に閉館もざらです（みんながみんな夕日を見に来るだけではないのでは？）。早期閉館告知も駐車場にある看板のみ、山形県が保有す...
