Sakuranbo Kaikan
Located about a five-minute drive from Sagae Interchange in the Roadside Station Sagae Cherry Land by the Sagae River, this museum is housed in a building with a space shuttle motif. Japan's first museum dedicated to cherries, it showcases the history of cherry cultivation in Sagae City with a variety of displays. You can also stop here to reserve cherry and strawberry pickings. Green house grown cherries are available year round and other pickings are available according to the season. You need to book in advance for strawberry picking. Their popular gelato comes in two varieties.
