Kyoto Prefectural Center for Arts & Culture
"This arts center was built in 1970 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Kyoto Prefecture and is located right next to the ""Furitsu Idaibyoin-mae"" bus stop. Today the museum still serves as a culture and artistic center, holding a variety of performances and exhibitions. The museum also hosts traditional joruri puppet theater performances, Kansai style rakugo comedic storytelling study meetings, and the Kyoto Drama Festival. The center has exhibition rooms on the first and second floors which are primarily used for fine arts exhibitions. The seating area and stage area in the center's hall are almost the same size and, like the center's exhibition and conference rooms, can be rented out for events."
