A 50 minute ride on the bus bound for Akiu Onsen leaving from JR Sendai Station. This public bathhouse is situated in a corner of Akiu Onsen, a hot spring village famous since ancient times, is considered one of Japan's top three hot spring destinations alongside Arima Onsen in Hyogo Prefecture and Dogo Onsen in Ehime Prefecture. The bathhouse is small, with just a single compact bath, but customers can enjoy high quality hot spring waters drawn directly from a source spring and without the use of any added waters, additional heating, or recirculation. The waters of the earthy chloride mildly saline spring are known for their powerful body warming effect and locals as well as customers from far and wide travel here to enjoy their benefits.

秋保で唯一の源泉かけ流し。加温、加水、消毒も一切なしで素のままの秋保温泉の湯を楽しめます。じんわり温まるアルカリ泉の優しい湯でした。しかししかし、前情報がないと入りづらいかもしれません。浴場は決して広くないですが天井は高め。浴槽は深いですが３名一緒に入るのはきついかなと思うサイズ。石鹸もシャワーもありません。そして、私が行ったときは全身刺青の人が後から入ってきました。せっかく源泉かけ流しの湯に浸...

大人300円。お昼過ぎにうかがいましたが、途切れずにお客さんがきていました。ただ、3人もいればいっぱいな感じです。お湯は少し濁りがありました。あたたまります。
素朴な温泉

小さな内湯の浴槽と蛇口が2つあるだけのシンプルで素朴な浴場。石鹸も何もないので、持参すること。源泉掛け流しとあり、湯温は45℃と熱め。じっくり体を慣らしながら、浸かるべし。湯上りのコーヒー牛乳が美味い。
