Nakayama Herb Park is a botanical garden is adjacent to Genjo no Yakata in Taki County, Mie Prefecture. The garden is maintained in honor of the accomplishments of Noro Genjo, a medical pioneer of mid Edo period, who learned Western medicine from Dutch books, and was born here. Visitors can see 250 kinds of medicinal plants and trees year-round. Among the plants on view are dandelions (for gastrointestinal disorders, bitter stomachic, asthma), chameleon plants (for swelling, hemorrhoids, and hardening of the arteries), and heal-all (for diuresis, bladder infections), and others, including chamomile and fennel.

足湯目的で行きました。途中の道は狭く、駐車場に辿り着くまで少し迷いました。足湯は先客お一人のみで、ゆったりできました。ハーブの香りが心地良かったです。

松阪の隣、三重県多気町、国道166号線から櫛田川の波多瀬橋を渡ると波多瀬地区である。公園の看板を見て迷いこんだ。結局「薬草薬樹公園」でも「元丈の館」でも同じ所に行く。「元丈」とは人名で、元禄6(1693)年に波多瀬に生まれた「薬草学の先駆者」、医師でもあった野呂元丈翁を顕彰するものである。町所有らしい「薬草・ハ―ブが溢れるアロマの郷」の...
薬膳カレーがいただける、静かで落ち着いたところ!

松阪市内ですが、旧飯南町の自然豊かなところにあります。国道１６６号線から、少し奥に入ります。我々は薬膳カレーをいただきに行きました。この辺りは薬草で有名なところらしく、カレー以外の食事メニューとしても、薬草や山菜をうまく利用したものがいただけます。敷地内には、食事スペース、地元産お土産売り場、足湯などがあります。こじんまりと静かなスペースで、素敵です。
