Jokoji Park
Jokoji Park is located about a 15-minute drive from the Seto-Shinano or Kasugai Interchanges, just south of Jokoji Temple, a National Cultural Property, the main building of which was built in 1336. It is part of Aichi Kogen Quasi-National Park. During the spring, it is a favored spot for viewing the blossoms of the Yoshino cherry trees that stand around Shoden-ike Pond and the six-side pavilion built on an artificial island in the pond. Fireflies gather over the pond in the summer, and visitors can enjoy the scenery of Jokoji Park at every time of the year, including the middle of November, when the autumn leaves are at the height of their colors. For about a month, starting in early November, the park holds an Autumn Leaves Festival, and all sorts of events take place during that period.
