This museum exhibits the artifacts found during excavations in the former Kamahara Village, which was buried by the eruption of Mt. Asama in 1783. You can also see a projection mapping demonstrating the transition of the eruption and a model of a restored face of a body found on the stone steps of the Kannon-do Hall. Related videos are always shown in the audiovisual room. On the second floor, there is an introduction of the history concerning cabbage, a specialty of Tsumagoi Village, etc. You can enjoy great views of Mt. Asama and Mt. Shirane from the observation room.

見どころいっぱいの嬬恋郷土資料館周辺

鎌原観音堂、嬬恋村郷土資料館、嬬恋村地域交流センター、延命寺跡、などなど見どころ満載でした。駐車場も無料で立ち寄りやすいです。食事処水車で食事、ソフトクリームを食べ旅の疲れを取りいざ日本のポンペイ、歴史跡を見学致しました。
皇后陛下の歌碑

皇后陛下かお詠みになられた歌の歌碑ができたとの事なので早速行って来ました。全く読めない書体なので、ググりました(笑)でも良かったですよ

鬼押し出しより車で10分前後、鬼押しハイウェーの道沿いにあります。この道は何度か通っていましたが、看板などあまり気にしていなかったせいか通り過ぎていました。こちらのメインは、この地域の名物であるキャベツや江戸時代にあった浅間山の大噴火について学べます。噴火についてはＤＶＤで20分ほどを見てから館内をまわると理解しやすいと思います。また、この資料館の裏に鎌原観音堂がありますので、あわせて見てはどうで...
