You can reach this well-known cascade in Hirayama, Yamakita-machi by taking a bus from Yamakita Station. The famous Kamakura period priest Mongaku is said to have trained at the waterfall, and its name derives from a line of esoteric Buddhist verse. Apart from being named one of the 100 elections of the waterfall in Japan, it has been designated one of Kanagawa's top-50 scenic views, one of the top 100 Future Heritage Spots, and one of the Top 100 Famous Water.
