Kurozu hompo Kakuida
Japan’s first black vinegar cuisine specialty restaurant, located in Fukuyama-cho, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Dedicated to sharing the area’s unique, local culture revolving around black vinegar, the establishment also offers a variety of activities in addition to operating as a restaurant. Diners can enjoy lunch course meals consisting of creative dishes created with an abundance of locally grown organic vegetables and Kakuida black vinegar, as well as a sweets assortment made with black vinegar. Visitors can also view a field of some 20 thousand jars being used to make Fukuyama black vinegar, and check out a gallery and black vinegar museum section. The establishment’s shop sells Kakuida brown rice black vinegar, black vinegar dressing, and other products; visitors can also taste different black vinegar varieties and purchase their favorite.
