Uwatoko Park

An exercise park located on top of Mt. Uwatokoyama. Due to its high location, the park offers a sweeping, picturesque view of the sacred mountain of Kirishima, Kagoshima Airport, Kinko Bay, and Sakurajima. Sports facilities include a ground golf course and sand-filled artificial turf tennis courts. The children’s park area has a water playground popular in summer. The sports park area is replete with facilities adults and children alike can enjoy, such as a roller slide, grass ski slope, roller skating ground, and playground. Also a well-known destination for enjoying cherry blossoms, in spring when the trees are in bloom visitors can also see unusual green cherry blossoms.
