A Japanese izakaya pub which serves local Kagoshima-style cuisine. Passing through the secret hideaway-like entryway, customers are greeted by décor which engenders a soothing, relaxing atmosphere, and the establishment is replete with semi-private and private seating areas. “Shochuan” means “Shochu Hermitage,” and as its name implies, the pub carries a wide lineup of sweet potato shochu liquors. The establishment’s food menu primarily consists of local-style cuisine made with Kagoshima grown vegetables and seafood caught in its coastal waters. The pub also serves healthy and somewhat unconventional vegetable dishes like fried daikon karaage and tomato tempura.

鹿児島中央駅の近くにありますが少し入ったところにあります。ですが比較的わかりやすいと思います。お店はこじゃれた感じのお店で非常に良いと思います。個室になっていたので子供連れには助かりました。料理はどれもおいしく、今回はコースでしたが十分満足できるものでした。なにより接客が素晴らしい。とにかく素早い対応で飲み放題のお替りも瞬時に出てきました。また行きたいお店です。
バランスのとれたいい店

焼酎，食べ物，価格，雰囲気…とバランスの取れた店です。表通りから僅かに入ったところにあるので目立つ店ではありませんが，地元の飲み会に便利に使っています。焼酎はボトルになると種類が減りますが，それぞれ違う味のもので，これもいいバランスです。

中央駅前のダイエーの裏にあり、ちょっとわかりにくい場所です。なんでも100種類以上の芋焼酎を揃えているとのことで、その光景には圧倒されます。本当に芋臭いものから、さらっとしたものまでまたお湯割りだけでなくロックに向くタイプやそのまま生で飲むのに向くタイプなど色々と味わえます。お料理もお刺身や地鶏炭火焼きなどがあり、個人的にはさつま芋の天麩羅が芋焼酎にピッタリでした。お値段も手頃であり、お店の雰囲気...
