A Japanese confectionary shop located in the Daiya-gai shopping arcade which extends away from the north exit of Kichijoji Station. Osaza only sells two things: yokan bean jelly and monaka wafer cakes with bean jam. Even so, these two products are so popular there's a constant line of customers outside waiting to purchase them. The yokan, in particular, is made entirely by the hands of skilled artisans without the use of any machines, and many customers come back time and again to enjoy its delicious flavor. It's so popular, you usually can't purchase any unless you come very early in the morning, and fans refer to it as the phantom yokan. Osaza's offers two varieties of monaka filling-shiro-an white bean jam and azuki-an red bean jam, and you can buy mixed sets which include both flavors. These sets make great souvenirs and presents.

吉祥寺にある羊羹が有名な和菓子屋さん。メンチカツやコロッケが有名な行列店「さとう」の隣にあります。お昼過ぎに訪れたので羊羹は既に売り切れ。最中の5個入り（あずき餡と白餡）を購入しました。白餡の方は本当にさっぱりとした味わい。甘さも控えめ。あずき餡の方はこし餡でこちらも甘さ控えめ。温かい緑茶と食べるとちょうどいい最中でした。1週間ほど賞味期限まで日にちがあるのでお土産にちょうどいいと...
