TABACCO & SALT MUSEUM

Museum / Science Museum
At the corporate museum in Yokokawa, Sumida City, Tokyo, a collection of materials related to the history and culture of the former monopoly of “tobacco” and “salt,” is displayed. It moved to the present location in 2015. On the third floor, the museum exhibits “tobacco” which was born in the Americas and spread to the world, as well as materials on the tobacco culture in the Edo period. You can learn about salt history and knowledge through exhibits and quizzes on the second floor.
