Aya Castle

This is the site of a mountain castle in Higashimorokata County, Miyazaki Prefecture. The castle has been reconstructed using local timber and now stands on the castle site. There is a “History Museum” in the castle exhibiting displays of the history of Aya, swords and armor. “Aya International Craft Castle” is also on the site, and it offers traditional Aya craft products, as well as hands-on pottery, hand weaving and dyeing classes.
