人吉温泉物産館は、「青井阿蘇神社」の隣にあるおみやげ屋さんです。おみやげ屋さんの他に足湯もあり、お食事処もありました。おみやげ屋さんは、「蔵元屋」という球磨焼酎のお店がありました。２７蔵にもおよぶ球磨焼酎の酒蔵の焼酎をそろえていて、広いスペースで、じっくりと球磨焼酎を選ぶことができました。

「幽霊寺」として有名な永国寺から人吉駅方面に向かうと、球磨川に架かる人吉橋を渡ります。橋を渡り終えて左折すると、まもなく青井阿蘇神社の駐車場がありました。その駐車場に隣接してあったのが、人吉温泉物産館です。新しい施設で、広さもたっぷりあるおみやげ屋さんでした。球磨焼酎の品ぞろえが豊富で、人吉みやげを探すにはよい店ですね。

小さな町・人吉の中で、大規模な物産センターだと思います。お酒コーナー、土産コーナー、レストラン、足湯と、いくつかの施設があります。足湯は無料です。レストランは、だご汁800円など、郷土料理も味わえます。
