Okuhita Onsen Umehibiki
A hot spring inn located in Nishioyama, Oyama-machi, Hita City. The hotel’s baths are filled from a simple hot spring whose waters are said to treat autonomic instability, insomnia, depression, and a variety of other conditions. The hotel’s bathhouse is also open to non-guests; facilities include a large indoor bathing area, and an outdoor bath from which bathers can enjoy the natural beauty of Hibiki Ravine. There are also a bedrock bath and reservable private hot spring bath only available to guests. The Umeshu Gura Oyama’s umeshu plum liqueur distillery, located on the grounds, offers tours and a tasting shop as well as a program in which visitors can make their very own umeshu liqueur (advance reservation required).
