A cultural facility consisting of a restored suburban villa located close to Kokura Castle in Kokurakita Ward in Kitakyushu City. There is a tatami mat room which can be used for tea ceremony sessions as well as a Japanese style room with Japanese style seats where visitors can enjoy matcha powdered green tea. The garden itself, a pond strolling garden, offers visitors beautiful, seasonal scenery.

As Japanese gardens go, this one is such a disappointment. It is very small, its only notable feature is the pond, and it is sadly uncared for. They have a nerve to charge for admission when they do...

I dont know how to measure this garden against all the beautiful gardens we have seen. Small, peaceful, with a nice view of the castle. Restful, but cannot compare with the larger more glamorous...
