今やグンマーこと群馬県民には経典のようになっている上毛かるたですが、そんな上毛かるたはアプリはあっても、資料館はありません。それだけ大牟田のカルタの歴史があるということなのでしょう。

日本におけるカルタの発祥地と一大産地の大牟田にある、カルタに特化した歴史資料館。カルタックスとして図書館と同じ建物になっています。カルタの歴史を時系列と具体的な展示物でわわかりやすく展示しています。とくに解説文が簡潔明瞭でよかった。天正カルタ、ウンスンカルタ、タロットカード、世界のトランプから、源氏物語カルタ、万葉カルタなど、しっかりしたコレクションは見事でした。カルタ以外にも、大牟田...
