Historical Monument
This historical building is located on the side of Prefectural Route 213 in Doi, Aki City. The clock tower was built by hand in the Meiji era by the landowner, Hatakenaka Genma, who studied the structure of clocks to build it. The clock has long been used by local farmers to tell the time while working the fields. Only the exterior of the clock tower can be viewed as it is located on the grounds of a private home.
