This famous hot-spring was once blessed by a visit from the 37th monarch of Japan, Empress Saimei. The baths have over 1,400 years of history and is fed by its own private spring, famous for resulting in outstandingly beautiful skin. The sodium - chloride - hydrogen carbonate cold mineral spring, is transparent but when mineral deposits appear it can have a white cloudy appearance. Day trips are the norm but there are ten limited lodgings available as well. Many pilgrims visiting 88 sacred places on the Shikoku Pilgrimage stop in after visiting Yokomine-ji Temple, the 60th temple, because of the difficulty of the route.

お遍路の途中に利用。お部屋は綺麗で、食事もまぁお値段相当。スタッフさんは親切です。ただ、他の方の口コミにもお風呂のことが多いのが何故か泊まってよく分かりました。批判で無くこれから泊まる方のために実体験を書きます。チェックイン後、汗を流そうとお風呂へ、地元の方で満員御礼。泊まり客専用でないので、それは仕方ないのですが問題は使い方です。一応公衆浴場なのに、びしょびしょのタオルを使って洗い場、サウナでの...
銭湯と思って利用すれば良い

湯目的で利用。加温している浴槽は循環なので評価は低い。銭湯感覚で利用すれば良いだろう。夕食は大したことない。朝食は食べていないので不明。今回、はなれを利用したが、客室内にある湯船は水道水で温泉ではないので利用する価値なし。わざわざ宿泊する施設ではない。
石鎚登山の後に利用できる温泉

石鎚登山の後に疲れた身体を癒すために温泉のみを利用しました。温泉には比較的小さな湯船が3つあります。事前の情報では源泉かけ流しと聞いていましたが、当日は源泉は流れていませんでした。湯質は、温泉を出て時間がたった後も身体がほてっていましたので、良質なのかなと感じました。個人的には、露天風呂がなかったのが残念でした。なお、温泉にはドライヤーがあるのみで、シャンプー、リンス、石鹸およびタオルがないので...
