Nasu Heisei-no-Mori Field Center, Nikko National Park
"This lush forest, approximately 560 hectares in size, at the foot of the Nasu mountain range, is about 40 minutes from ""Nasu Interchange"" or ""Nasu Kogen Smart Interchange"" on the Tohoku Expressway. The forest was managed as part of the Nasu Imperial Villa until opened to the public. Many rare species of flora and fauna can be found in the forest. The forest is divided into areas and the visitors can freely explore and experience nature in the ""Fureai no Mori"" area, or enjoy a guided walk in the ""Learning Forest"", emphasizing environment protection. There are various programs and hands-on experiences offered to visitors in each season."
