Shonai Peninsula
Mt. Shiude rises over the central Shonai Peninsula where Seisan (Western part of Kagawa) juts into the Seto Inland Sea. A well-known cherry blossom and azalea viewing area, you can get a panoramic view that includes the slopes blooming with flowers and the many islands of the Seto area from the summit of Mt. Shiude. The peninsula is associated with the Japanese folktale of Urashima Taro, and you can do a tour that takes in highlights tied to the legend.
