Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park
It is the southernmost national park in Japan with a sea area incorporating the largest coral reef in Japan as well as many rare endemic plants and animals such as wild ginger, rhododendrons, and Iriomote Wild Cats, etc. It is a popular area offering marine leisure activities such as snorkeling, diving, glass bottom boats, also climbing Mt. Omotodake the highest mountain in Okinawa Prefecture, or kayaking and bird watching at Nagura-amparu the mangrove wetlands of approximately 160 hectares, as well as driving along the beautiful coastline, etc.
