Setonaikai National Park
This park is one of the first national parks in Japan, and features the scenery of the many large and small islands that make up the archipelago. There are many scenic spots such as Goshikiiwa Rock on Sensuijima Island which is said to be so beautiful that even wizards would get drunk on its beauty, the beautiful archipelago scenery of Mt. Washuzan, Mt. Sekizensan, famous for its cherry blossoms, and Miyajima, one of the three most famous scenic spots in Japan. It is an area of great popularity especially for mountaineers and photographers. In the Seto Inland Sea there are ecosystems such as tidal flats, seaweed beds and wetlands which are home to various rare species such as horseshoe crabs, the finless porpoise, and Miyajima dragonflies, etc. There are three visitor centers each in the Washuzan, Goshikidai, and Okunoshima areas, and the Visitor Center at Okunoshima provides brochures in various languages.
