Chinda Falls
The collective name for a 20-meter-high, 100-meter-wide-waterfall (Ontaki) on the main current of the Ono River and a smaller 18 meter tall, four-meter-wide waterfall (Mentaki) on the Hirai River tributary, the falls are nicknamed “the Niagara of Ono.” A walkway draws close to the larger waterfall and the view from the platform jutting out at the end is stunning. This famous waterfall was even painted by the renowned Muromachi period artist Sesshu Toyo.
