A feature of this hot spring is the thick steam which spews through the rock surface of the mountain. Also, the temperature of the water vapor is put to practical use with the breeding of animals such as hippopotamus, llamas and flamingos, so there are also some people who visit here for the small zoological gardens.

「地獄蒸し鬼たまご」

地獄めぐりの観覧券では入ることが出来ない山地獄。入場料500円です。その中にある売店、素朴なこじんまりとした売店ですが名物「地獄蒸し鬼たまご」を1個（100円）を購入。他には唐揚げやたこ焼きなども売っていました。ちょっと小腹を満たすにはいいですね。
手作りのよもぎ蒸しパン

売店はとても小さいのですが、前で蒸しパンのふかしたのを売っていたので、よもぎ蒸しパンを買ってみました。蒸しパン、、、だと思うのですが、とにかくよもぎ味でした。うーーん、まずくはないが、とてもおいしい！というほどでもなく、、、本当に普通のお味でした。
