The treasure house of Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine. The treasure house stores and displays some 50 thousand items, including a sword once worn by Sugawara no Michizane; ancient manuscripts such as the Kan’en, a National Treasure; and artistic works. The history of the Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine as well as that of the nationwide Sugawara no Michizane faith is presented via video. Entrance fee required. A shared ticket granting entry to the Kyushu National Museum is also available.
