Kyushu National Museum
A national museum located in Dazaifu City commonly known as the “Kyuhaku” to locals. The museum displays numerous historically momentous articles such as an ink painting by the famed Kano Masanobu, a designated National Treasure, and the original manuscript of the ancient epic Eiga Monogatari. The museum’s rounded 160 meter by 80 meter building is large enough to fit an entire international regulation soccer field, making it best to schedule plenty of time for one’s visit. The first floor contains a hands-on space for learning about Asia for children. A 10-minute walk from Dazaifu Station.
