Historical Monument
This stands approximately 800 meters due north of Suzakumon (Suzaku Gate), the main entrance to Heijo Palace, with the front being about 44 meters, the sides about 20 meters, and a height of approximately 27 meters. This is Heijo Palace’s largest palace with 44 vermilion-colored columns 70-centimeter in diameter and utilizing approximately 97,000 roof tiles.
