Nishiya Honten restaurant

Nishiya Honten is a long-established Shabu-shabu hotpot restaurant. The restaurant’s signature Shabu-shabu set meal gives diners the opportunity to enjoy delicious marbled beef from Japanese Black Cattle, together with sashimi and Udon noodles to finish off, making for a very filling meal. “Udon Chiri,” a dish developed by the former owner, combines full-bodied, smooth-tasting Osaka Udon noodles with seasonal vegetables, seafood (including prawns, etc.), and specially-made Ponzu vinegar; it is the ideal hotpot dish for a banquet. Nishiya Honten is located in a traditional Japanese-style wooden building, with a range of dining options, including private rooms with tatami or with hori-gotatsu (where diners sit around a heated table in a depression in the floor).
