Hakoyu hot spring
“Hakoyu spa” was built for the sake of enjoying a visit to Shuzenji Temple’s open-air hot spring which flourished as the oldest hot spring resort in Izu. It is said that in olden days, Minanotono Yoriie bathed at Hakoyu hot spring. The construction of just the indoor bath is extremely simple with the fragrance of Hinoki cypress wood drifting in the air and on sunny days, the light shines in through the skylight. A 12-meter-high elevation belvedere (observation deck) with an unbroken view of Shuzenji Temple’s townscape has also been built, enabling you to enjoy the effects of this relaxing hot spring.
