Yonaha Maehama Beach
One of Miyako-jima Island’s best-known beaches, Yonaha Maehama Beach comprises 7 kilometers of pure-white sand; looking out to sea, visitors can see Kurima Bridge and Kurima Island in the distance. The water off the beach is crystal-clear, and contrasts beautifully with the coloration of the deeper water further out to sea. The beach is renowned for its fine grains of sand, and is the starting point for the Miyako-jima Triathlon. A comprehensive range of facilities are available, including showers and toilets.
