Hirobumi Ito Former Residence & villa

Historical Monument
This is Ito Hirobumi’s villa, who was central to the drafting of the Meiji Constitution and became the first Prime Minister. Ito Hirobumi’s former residence was a small house of about 95.9 meters squared which is a one-story house built with a thatched roof, while the villa was part of a vast villa built in Oimura, Tokyo in 1907; one part of which was dismantled and rebuilt here as it is. Volunteer guides are stationed at the villa, who can help you to learn more about the facilities.
