Kozan Park
Located in Kozan-cho, Yamaguchi City, Kozan Park contains many historic buildings and historic sites. These include the Ruriko-ji Temple, which is dedicated to the Yakushi Nyorai Buddha (Medicine Buddha), and which has a Five-storeyed Pagoda, a National Treasure which is renowned as one of the three finest pagodas in Japan. Other significant sites within the Park include the Chinryu-tei teahouse and Rozan-do hall, which played an important role in the Meiji Restoration. The Kozan Park is a famous place for viewing seasonal flowers such as cherry blossom, plum blossom and azalea; it was selected for inclusion in the “Top 100 Most Historic Parks in Japan.”
