Kosendo
A well-known udon & soba shop in an old temple school building of a former samurai residence, in Kakunodate Town, Semboku City, Akita Prefecture. The specialties are a smooth rice plant udon using hinaijidori chicken or maitake mushroom, and locally-produced buke soba with buckwheat flour aroma bamboo shoot and beefsteak plant (macrophyll) tempura inside. It is a popular tourist spot for its exterior and interior that still retain the atmosphere of the Edo period.

- 角館の武家屋敷通りの一角に、古泉洞という角館で一番歴史があると言われる、江戸時代の藩の寺子屋を移築した稲庭うどんのお店があります。ここで10時30分の開店と同時に入店し、舞茸天麩羅のついた冷たい稲庭うどんを食べました。江戸の風情を感じさせる店内で食べる稲庭うどん 美味しかったです。私は開店一番で入りましたのでゆっくり貸切状態で食べることができましたが、昼の時間には行列のできる人気店のようです。
