"A science museum located in Hitomaru-cho, Akashi City. Situated on the Japan Standard Time Meridian at 135 degrees east longitude, the facility looks at time and space and contains exhibits on Akashi and the meridian as well as time and space-themed exhibits. The museum also has a planetarium and holds planetarium programs with live narration. The museum also holds special exhibitions and stargazing sessions as well as children's planetarium, night museum, ""Kido Seitai Shigosenger"" and other events."

日本標準時の元となる日本標準子午線東経１３５度の真上に建つ施設です。館内にはプラネタリウムや宇宙や時に関する展示物が展示された展示室があります。プラネタリウムでは４５分間のプログラムが上映されています。塔の最上部は展望台となっており、明石市街はもとより、明石海峡大橋、明石海峡の向こうに淡路島を望めます。山陽電鉄の人丸前駅から徒歩３分ほどの距離です。

何より人が少なくてほぼ貸し切り状態でプラネタリウムを満喫できました。コロナ禍なので今はやってないのかな？
東経百三十五度が通る明石天文科学館

山陽電車人丸前駅には、東経百三十五度が通っています。目の前には天文科学館が見えます。坂を登ると、柿本人麻呂公をお祀りした人丸神社があります。ここからは明石海峡大橋が間近に見えます。魚ん棚商店街までも徒歩圏です。
