Gourmetria Tajima (Ichijima Restaurant)

You'll find this yakiniku Japanese barbecue restaurant if you head towards Mitsuzuka Haiji-Ato (the ruins of deserted Mitsuzuka temple) from the Ichijima Shisho Kita Intersection on National Route 175 coming from JR Ichijima Station. It's run by the Takami Beef Farm, and they serve the finest Takami Beef, which received the Prime Minister's Award. The menu features multi-course meals with charcoal grilled steak and shabu-shabu, thinly sliced meat boiled with vegetables and dipped in sauce?. They also have a lunch time gourmet gozen Japanese meal set (limited to 10 servings a day), steak on rice, and hamburger steak meal sets. The classic wooden interior is warm and inviting. With a reservation you can dine in their annex with private rooms in a variety of sizes to choose from, or in the room with horigotatsu floor seating.
