"A Buddhist temple located right next to the ""Hokkesan-ichijoji"" bus stop. This temple is the 26th temple on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage, a 33 temple pilgrimage which centers on Kyoto. A Tendai Buddhist temple founded by the Indian high priest Hodo in 650, The temple's Heian period silk painting depicting Prince Shotoku and the high priest of the Tendai sect, as well as its three tier Pagoda believed to have been built in 1171, are designated National Treasures. The temple owns numerous other statues and structures designated national, prefectural, or city Cultural Properties, including the main temple building. In fall, the grounds are colored with spectacular fall foliage, attracting many tourists."

御朱印の費用が高い！！

西国三十三ヶ所巡りでこちらのお寺を訪れたのですが、まず驚いたのが御朱印を頂く為に掛かる費用。他に2箇所の三十三ヶ所札所を前日に回っていたのですが、そちらは御朱印帳と掛け軸両方で８００円だったのに対し、一乗寺は１８００円！1000円も高いのには驚きました。ほかにも環境整備協力金の名目で駐車場代300円、入場料500円が必要です。建物の古さから色々とお金が必要なのかもしれませんが、ちょっと取り...

西国巡礼での参拝。紅葉はまだ少し早い、来週位が見頃かな？。開山後、１３７２年が経過している古寺、古刹。但し、国宝に指定されているのは平安時代作の三重塔と普段はお目にかかれない「聖徳太子及天台高僧像」と云う絵画のみ、重文は多数を所蔵している。本堂、石造五輪塔や鎮守諸堂も重文。縁起は科学的根拠なくて単なる物語、昔話に過ぎない。空海もそうであったが、ここの開山、法道仙人も又、托鉢とか供養に対して応じなか...

西国三十三箇所の御朱印を始めようと、書写山圓教寺で御朱印帳を購入し、圓教寺に続いて、近いこちらの寺に来ました。四国八十八ヶ所の後だったので、何人かの方が口コミ書かれているように、なんだか商売けがあるお寺だと感じました。中は、思ったより広く国宝などもあり由緒のあるお寺とはわかりました。階段は長く、のぼるのは大変でしたが、いい運動になります。冬の平日のため、参拝者もほとんどなく、車でも遠かった...
