浦和には特徴的な鰻屋さんがありますが、小島屋は大皿で供される大ぶりの蒲焼きと古典的な日本家屋の店構えです。ただし大皿の蒲焼きは当然、値段も張りますので、その点は承知の上で注文してください。3匹分で12000円です。もちろん普通の鰻重もあります。鰻重は3段階あって写真の松がちょうど真ん中で約4500円で、肝吸いとお新香が付きます。鰻の味は人それぞれに好き好きがありますので、コメントは難しいです...

鰻好きで、色々なお店に行きます。こちらの小島屋さんは、浦和の老舗。土曜のお昼、２０年ぶりくらいに行きました。少し離れた駐車場でも、良い香り。期待が高まります。店に入ると、どんどん目の前で焼いています。２０分ほど待ち、案内されました。うな重の「松」￥4350を注文。私はふっくらの、味が甘め・濃いめが好きなので、チョット期待外れ...

鰻がとても大きく、鰻そのものの味がとても強いです。ふっくらとしていて、とても美味しい。夜は高いですが、昼のうな重なら…と食べに行きます。
