A mixed forest park which adjoins the grounds of Awa Shrine. The forest is thick with evergreen broadleaves such as Japanese stone oak, and deciduous trees like konara oaks. The forest has been selected for inclusion in a list of Top 100 Forested Valleys in Japan compiled by the Forestry Agency. Visitors can observe many flowering plants and wild birds, and park facilities include a wild bird center, large grass field perfect for recreation, hiking courses, and an observatory whose view has been selected for inclusion in a list of Chiba's Top 100 views.

双眼鏡、野鳥ガイドブックの無料貸し出しがあり、散策路の案内もしてもらえます。森に入る前に立ち寄ることをお勧めします！森の方は、台風の影響で、全てのコースのうち1/3程度と少ししか入れません。クジャクもいます。

館山市の南、平砂浦海岸のいちばん南のあたりを少し山に入ったところにあります。広い面積の丘陵地帯に遊歩道が張り巡らされており、ゆっくり散策しながら野鳥を観察することができます。入り口にはふれあい野鳥館があり、ここでみられる野鳥の情報が得られます。木工工作コーナーなどもあります...
展望台からの景色は素晴らしいものでした

野鳥を観察できたり、森の生態系を解説しているセンターと森の中の散策コースがあります。散策コースは１周90分ほどでした。展望台からの景色は素晴らしく、房総の自然を満喫できました。
