Manganji Temple

Temple
This temple was built to host the rituals of gratitude of pilgrims who had completed the pilgrimage to 188 sacred sites spread through Shikoku, Western Japan, Chichibu, and Kanto. It's principle object of worship is an eleven-faced image of the Avalokitesvara that is thought to grant patrons their biggest wish of the year. The temple also has images of the principle deities from all 188 sacred sites on the pilgrimage. It's near Cape Inubo and is a popular spot to watch the first sunrise of the new year.
