Roadside Station Satomi

Michi no Eki Road Station
A roadside station situated in the area of former Satomi village surrounded by mountains along National Route 349. Also a popular place to take a break while en route to the Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge, the station is a perfect touring destination. The station sells local specialty products such as shimikonnyaku freeze-dried devil's tongue jelly and miso made in Ibaraki.

    ここの道の駅には、お土産も農産物も、全く魅力あるものがなく、本当にがっかりさせられた最近稀に見る場所です。近くの県道沿いに数件ある農産物販売所の方が全然新鮮で良いものが見られますよ。

    いつも空いていて、良くトイレ休憩で寄ります。お蕎麦が食べられますが、メニューが少ないのが残念です。近くの地酒なども売っているので、お店を見るのは楽しいです。
