Higashi Tsukuba Yuutopia
A nature park and zoo located next to the Saikoin Temple northeast of Mt. Tsukuba a 25-minute drive from the Tsuchiura-kita interchange. The zoo's shows, featuring monkeys, wild boar, and cats, are particularly popular. In the petting zoo area, visitors can play with rabbits and other small animals and see ponies and bears up close. The park also has a cafe and walking paths. In addition, the park, situated among the mountains, boasts excellent scenery and visitors can enjoy seasonal sights like azaleas and fall foliage. Lastly, the park offers outdoor activities like paragliding.
