Tsukuba Expo ’85 Memorial Park
A park erected on the site of the Expo '85 international exposition. The 10-meter tall Kagaku no Mon gate commemorates the expo; modeled after the symbol tower of the Japanese government's exposition hall, it was built to one fourth scale of the original. The silver balls suspended inside the gate depict the faces of four famous scientists, depending on the angle of the viewer. The park is also a renowned destination for cherry blossoms, and in spring some 300 Yoshino cherries come into bloom on the grounds.

-
- Parque moderno
