"A handmade udon noodle restaurant situated across the river west of the Ushibushi burial mounds. The restaurant operates out of a remodeled kominka (old Japanese-style house), giving it an elegant atmosphere. The owner, originally from Kagawa Prefecture, makes renowned, chewy udon noodles served piping hot fresh from the pot. The noodles are made with flour from a specially contracted farm in the nearby city of Hitachiomiya. The ""Momijiya Set"" meal, which includes an assortment of tempura and piping hot tofu, is particularly popular. The restaurant also offers tofu blancmange and sweet potato yokan jelly for dessert. The drink menu includes local sakes and shochues as well as seasonal beverages. This lively restaurant is so popular usually all seats are occupied during meal times."

寒い日に暖かい鍋焼きうどんを食べました。写真のもので1300円程。お腹いっぱいになりました。美味しかったです。

日曜日の11時半頃訪問。店内半分くらいは埋まってました。12時台には満席。お座敷とテーブル席とあります。小さい子供がいるのでお座敷に通されました。子供椅子も少しだけありましたが、ボロボロ。子供用の食器も他と比べると大きめ。フォークなどは私たちはもらえなかったので持参したもので対応。基本、たらいに入った釜揚げうどんかざるうどん。他は季節のうどんです。セットにすると野菜の天ぷら付きにもできます。セット...
