This is about 50 minutes from the Akagi Interchange on the Kanetsu Expressway, in an excellent location overlooking the surrounding mountains. There is a café and shop in addition to the observation deck overlooking Shirakaba Ranch, and it is a great place to drop in when visiting Shirakaba Ranch to stroll through the azaleas, or trekking or driving in the area. In the Shirakaba-no-Mori library corner visitors can see displays on the history and literature of Mt. Akagi, and material regarding writers of the region. It is also the goal of the “Maebashi Mt. Akagi Hill Climb”. The facility is open from mid-April to mid-November.

赤城山ドライブ時に立ち寄り。登坂でこの休憩所手前の牧場が見えてくる辺りが絶景撮影スポットとどこかで紹介されていたと思います。（急に視界が開けてくるから？）車だとあっという間に過ぎてしまい撮影し損ねました。トイレお借りし展示物を見たり牧場内の割と近くに見える羊さん達を眺めながらアイスを食べたりと、小休止にちょうど良いと思います。なお施設的にふた昔前くらいな感じなので、駐車場はそれほど広く...
赤城観光前に立ち寄りました！！勉強にあります。

赤城山の山麓にある大沼の手前にある観光案内所。案内所内には赤城山の歴史や赤城にゆかりのある文人や文学についての説明などがありました。案内所のすぐ横には白樺牧場があり牛の姿が見れます。時間があるなら観光前に寄るのも良いですね。見学は無料で9時-16時に利用できます。

運よくて天気が晴れ晴れでよかったです。旅の途中で一旦休憩に入りました。いろんな情報を頂き、その後赤城神社に行きました。
