Agatsumakyo Onsen Tengu no Yu

This is a day hot spring facility at Agatsumakyo Roadside Station, about 20 minutes via National Route 145 to the west of Higashi-Agatsuma, Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture. The onsen is set in a natural environment and the hot spring water quality, warming bathers to the core, is delightful. The facility includes an indoor bath, outdoor bath, bath to lay in, and baths for private use. Towels are sold on site so anyone can easily enjoy a bath. Rooms for private use are also available so visitors can enjoy the Tengu-no-yu in privacy. The “Kantsu Seki” stone from Moshirou Tunnel, placed in the outdoor bath, is regarded as a guardian stone beneficial in helping to conquer difficulties, achieving academic success and easy delivery.

吾妻峡温泉天狗の湯へやって来た。草津温泉に向かう前最後の入浴へとやって来た。以前八ッ場三兄弟の湯と言われる湯があったが、その中の湯の源泉は、JR吾妻線のトンネル工事の際に湧出した湯であったが、この湯ももしかしたら・・・可能性ありだね。
道の駅あがつま峡にある日帰り温泉施設。

草津エリア観光時に立ち寄り。渋川伊香保エリアと草津エリアを結ぶルート沿いにある「道の駅あがつま峡」内にある日帰り温泉施設です。大きな施設ではありませんが、充分に吾妻峡温泉を楽しめました。露天風呂には「貫通石」鎮座していますので、お見逃しなく。

八ッ場周辺の観光で一息入れるのに最適。この付近はコンビニが遠いので、食堂のあるのはありがたい。また農産物の直売所もあるし、ドッグランタも・・・。私は足湯。家内は内湯と露天を堪能。季節柄、まったりできたとのこと。散策序に立ち寄るにちょうど良いでしょう。
