Yuigahama Beach
A coastline facing Sagami Bay and one of Kamakura’s most famous beaches. The beach consists of an expansive and shallow shoal extending west from the Nameri River. In the summer, the beach bustles with visitors come to swim. The area was once a quiet fishing town, but with the development of public transportation in the Meiji period, it began to be visited by great numbers of people from Tokyo and other areas. Yuigahama Station on the Enoshima Electric Railway is the closest station.
